This 3-week volunteer programme involved assuming the role of a teacher in 5 different schools for the duration of a schools day. In this role, I had to teach classes ranging from 70-130 pupils of all different ages and abilities. Adapting to the drastic cultural differences and having to learn Kenyan sign language in order to teach in two of the schools was an enlightening experience to be a part of.
