I was involved with the marine research team with a personal focus of assessing the importance of microhabitats on fish diversity and abundance on exposed bays. This was a comparative study between the islands of Samos and Lipsi in the Eastern Aegean Sea. In addition to this, I also monitored the behaviour and safety of an endangered Mediterranean Monk seal which had been abandoned at birth by its mother.
