Part of me still wonders how he can notice every hue of color, or every pixel misplacement. His mastery of Javascript and CSS are clear and UI and UX are not just mere words in his repository but are truly lived by him. But it is not only design where you can trust in his abilities, his work with Vue, the components and our entire Frontend Architecture displayed his ability to be a critical thinker and a quick learner which lead to better Architectures and massively better frontends. That is not to say that Chris is not capable of doing backend work. On the contrary, he displayed great craft working on our backends in the projects and displayed exceptional understanding of how to write clean code, be it SOLID, KISS, DRY or more sophisticated principles like the n-tier layered Architecture or Domain Driven Design which were heavily utilized by Gambio. Given Chris has been a programmer for a couple years now, his drive to learn new things and to advance himself and his clear passion for programming make him, in my humble opinion, an excellent candidate for your team. His constant input and critical thinking lead to better understanding of problems and even when I required Chris to organize projects on his own when I was unavailable, he rose to the challenge and delivered.
