  Highlights of the mission: Defining, testing and implementing calibration procedures of a 2D position sensor integrated in a micro-fluidic chip intended for cell sorting within the framework of the CNRS CoDiCell project. Overview of the objectives achieved: - Realizing a state of the art on the 2 main current cell sorting methods (fluidic method vs electrical method). - Understanding the proof of concept (POC) established in the case of a 1D position sensor based on impedancemetry techniques. - Validating the theoretical model of the 2D sensor by running 6 simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics. - Creating and implementing the necesary procedures for the calibration of the 2D position sensor. - Programing a 3 degree of freedom (ddl) robot to move an 8 micrometer diameter ball within a 40 micrometer radius. - Designing and 3D printing an anchorage support to connect the ball and the robot. - Developping a user interface coded in C++ under QT Creator to facilitate the acquisition, the recording and the exploitation of data: impedance measurements, time measurements and video recording. - Conducting an extensive series of tests in oerder to assess the performance of the system and demonstrate the feasibility of the solution.
