I have taken on two different roles within Enjins. As a machine learning engineer I am accountable for helping and consulting clients with their machine learning processes. These processes are: - Holding an audit trail to find the right business case - Setting up required infrastructure (AWS / Azure) - Creating a machine learning model - Integrating machine learning model in processes (including feedback loop) As a software engineer I am accountable for developing a platform that enables engagement with machine learning. This platform simplifies the process of deploying, monitoring and explaining the models. Activities include: - Designing the UX/UI - Developing the frontend (Angular) - Setting up microservices backend (NestJS) - Educating and guiding interns Challenges: Implemented a custom authorization system, specifically tailored to our needs. Open Source projects like Keycloak were too heavy for our cause, and overcomplicated the authentication flow with our needs. As a solution I used Kratos for authentication flows, with a custom authorization entities stored at each of the microservices. Show less

Virtuagym is a leading tech company in health & fitness mobile apps, providing solutions for consumers, gyms, personal trainers, physiotherapists and corporate health services. With over 4,000 clients world-wide, 25,000 personal trainers, and 8 million end-users, availability in 12 languages and over 200 staff in two offices in Europe and America, Virtuagym is a leading player in the fitness technology space. As a Client Success Consultant I was the face of the company towards the existing clients. Answering customer inquiries both efficiently and effectively, ensuring their satisfaction and building a pro-active relationship were part of the daily routines. Hence, communicating solutions and working together closely with the clients both verbally and in writing was critical. Communicating the client's inquiries and translating/processing these further into the company exposed me to all different departments within, of which the closest relation was to the development department. Translating the client's wishes into technical terms, investigating into possible bugs and diving into the code to find the best possible solution was key to success and to ensure the right future developments that would create the biggest impact with the least amount of resources. SPGPrints is the global leading provider of integrated solutions for rotary screen printing in the textile, label and industrial markets and has a leading position in digital printing. As a third year Bachelor student of Business Engineering, my responsibilities lay with Quality Control within the organisation. The target of this internship was to transform the data provided by the production lines and visualise this into actionable insights. Working with the data provided by the machines, I was able to design a dashboard with the CSF's as leading material, using Excel and VBA. Show less

During a 7-day intensive period 25 students of different disciplines were brought together to form 5 different teams. Each team competes with each other by thinking of innovations within a central theme. Within this theme new applications, business models and patents are being thought out for the current raw technologies that are central. This week's technology was Solar Energy, within the theme of the New Urban Area. Working together with 4 different students from diverse background, team building and application creating skills were central to this week's learning. With a limited timespan, working together to design and built a viable product idea under time pressure was a refreshing and inspiring experience. Show less
