Generation of panel of O-Acetyl-GD2-specific antibodies for development of immunotherapies targeting neuroblastoma. • Functional testing of expression vectors for immunization by transient transfection and retroviral transduction of 293T and human Hap 1 cell lines, respectively. Detection through flow cytometry. • Validation of reference cell lines for antibody panning. • Production and purification of O-Acetyl-GD2-specific antibody. • Hybridroma screening to produce OAcGD2 specific antibodies. • Flow cytometry and western blotting. Contributing to additional projects: • Functional testing of an existing GD2-specific chimeric antigen receptor targeting childhood brain tumour DIPG. • Generating of single cell suspensions from fresh tumour samples to assess for candidate target antigen expression using scRNAseq.

A full-time one-year research-based course based on three four-month research projects. I was responsible for the design, planning and execution of the experiments, analysis of the results yielded as well as writing and presenting the data produced in a clear and concise manner, always meeting deadlines. The three research projects being the following : “Characterization of recombinant proteins in mammalian cells” (Synthetic biology) “Role of GABAergic neurons in thermoregulation and sleep” (Neurosciences) “Analysis of the hetero-hexamer HrpRS that regulates the Type III Secretion System in Pseudomonas syringae pv. Tomato DC3000” (Synthetic biology)

Four-month research project consisting on the differentiation of hPSCs and patient-derived iPSC to sensory neurons. The techniques performed covered sterile cell culture, immunostaining to identify different populations by using the primary antibodies Beta III tubuline, peripherine, Islet 1 and Brn3, RNA purification and Q-PCR to measure levels of the drug after the oligonucleotide treatment was added to the sensory neurons.
