  Data Engineer responsible for data onboarding and development and maintenance of the infrastructure of RavenPack’s Data science team. My day-to-day involves (but is not limited to): 1. Data Onboarding: I am responsible for the end-to-end process of collecting, processing, and making large volumes of data available to our data science team. This included data ingestion, transformation, and ensuring that the data was ready for analysis. Translating, defining, maintaining, and evolving the Data science research project requirements into onboarding specifications. It is a critical function to support the research team. 2. Datalake Maintenance: In AWS, I implemented, deployed, and maintained our datalake infrastructure, which utilized services such as Athena and S3 for storage. I also managed AWS Batch jobs and Rules to run daily and monthly data processing tasks. These tasks were primarily scripted in Python to ensure efficiency and accuracy. 3. Development Environment: I design, deploy, and maintain our development environment. I designed and built on Docker containers, running Jupyter Lab, and Python 3.9. The deployment process was streamlined using shell scripts, ensuring that our data scientists had a productive and consistent working environment. 4. Shell Script and Python Development: I developed shell and Python scripts to enhance automation and streamline data onboarding processes. These scripts played a crucial role in automating repetitive tasks, allowing faster data integration and more efficient workflows. 5. Providing specialist support to the Data Science.
