I currently teach the sophomore level theology class. We teach the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' religion curriculum, so the course focuses on Christology and Ecclesiology. I also moderate an extra-curricular leadership program for juniors and seniors. It is called "Life Information for Teens." It allows the students opportunities for Christian moral development, leadership and mentoring of eighth grade students in archdiocesan Catholic schools. I have also served as a retreat leader, and currently serve as a mentor for a first-year teacher. Show less

I taught freshman and junior/senior level religion classes. The curriculum of the freshman level class was focused on Catholic doctrine and sexual morality. The curriculum of the junior/senior level course was focused on Catholic Social Teaching. On the freshman level, I was a member of a team of teachers, an interdisciplinary team that worked together to make cross-curricular connections. We developed a curriculum with Dr. Robert Enright of the University-of-Wisconsin on forgiveness (as a moral virtue). At Edgewood I started a pro-life/social justice club, started the Life Information for Teens program, led student trips to Washington D.C. for the annual March for Life, and organized a group of students to attend the World Youth Day festivities in Madrid in 2011.
