Bev is an amazing leader. She encompasses her role as Executive Director with passion, dedication and commitment needed in our community. Volunteering and learning from her as well as her staff have paved the way for me to be a strong minded, dedicated person to my own goals in life. Beverly's staff, under her leadership created an environment free from hate, discrimination and violence. So much so, that I have chose to start my own journey of transitioning, knowing that an agency like the NYC Anti-Violence Project is there to protect me. I know that AVP will grow into a massive organization with her leadership abilities and strive to create a violence-free, hate-free society.
