      During her tenure at the Denver Flagship REI Co-op Brittany also supported the retail operations team in a variety of roles.In September of 2019 Brittany spent a week in Farmington, Utah supporting a new store opening. Brittany was assistant to the store manager to handle any problems during grand opening prep week and weekend that could pop up, directed new employees during training, oversaw last minute installs, and worked as a liaison with the visual merchandise team to get the store prepared.During the Summer of 2020 REI permanently closed its Westminster, Colorado store. Brittany worked with two Project Managers to provide emotional support to staff, direct the team to ensure accurate inventory reallocation, and plan the removal of all fixtures and hardware. In the Fall of 2020 Brittany spent time in Billings, Montana in a multi-support role to successfully open a new REI location during the COVID pandemic. Brittany worked with HQ partners to support the opening of the first REI location without Asset Protection, IT, and the Project Manager on site. Brittany worked with the new store team, lead the GoTeam trained support staff, and opened the location.The summer of 2021 provided new challenges as Brittany performed her store duties with little time away to fully decommissioned REI's Cherry Creek Boathouse. Brittany build out a project plan, created a team, and relocated all hardware, IT supplies, fixtures, and product to nearby stores to reduce waste and increase used gear sales. This transitioned into turning a non-customer facing area into new selling space in order to regularly sell used gear providing member value benefits and reducing the labor cost of processing.
