My key role is the recruitment and training of a broad spectrum of high calibre under-graduate university students (annual intake approx 220) with the potential to be future leaders within the Armed Forces or Industry. Responsible for the Implementation and management of the Sandhurst Training Directive; its planning, resourcing and quality assurance. A member of the Sandhurst workshop reviewing the future structure and training requirements of the OTC. Monitoring and advice on Potential Officer Selection and preparation for RMAS, this year successfully commissioning 25 Officer Cadets into the Armed Forces, an increase of 11% over 2009. Line Manager for 50 staff, including Equality and Diversity Advisor, Induction, Welfare Support, Career Development, Appraisal, Retention and Resettlement. Unit Supervising Officer and Non-Public Fund Manager, for a £1.5 million budget, with an annual turn-over of £120k, after a review of processes and procedures the fund has seen an increase in profit of 12%. Most recent achievements; planned and run the annual two week exercise for 300 soldiers, hosted the Annual Dinner and Cocktail Party, with HRH The Princess Royal as the principle quest. Extensive and successful external engagement with a number of Executive Bodies; which included the Army's Recruiting and Training Directorate, Individual Training Group and Ofsted. Principle Advisor and Subject Matter Expert on training capability, function and development. Maintenance of training standards, Instructor monitoring and assessment, while maintaining unit discipline, based on values based leadership and both Physical and personnel security. Management of company resources and facilities (total valve £6 million), including the planning and submission of plans for the construction of a new 100m range complex at £1.3 million. During this period remodelled and delivered, on behalf of the British Military Head of Mission in the Congo; Ammunition storage and safety courses, to some 150 soldier and officers. This proved so effect that we were invited back to deliver further courses. Instructional Experience. UK/Germany/Congo/Afghanistan/Iraq 1986 - 2007 Role: Within the training environment, I have taught at all levels; from Basic Soldier training, within the Army Training Regiments. Designed, planned, directed and coordinated a travelling training programme for the UK for the MOD, providing training for some 9000 soldiers per annum, this included trade and career courses. Role: As a senior instructor, I have conducted Training Needs Analysis, piloted courses and material, conducted validation and staffed subsequent amendments.
