  Overseeing IT and GIS while working closely with Communications and Records Management, I am responsible for the planning, budgeting, and operation of all County Information Systems.This network includes over 100 users operating on 20 tablets, 30 smart phones, and 60 workstations served by 4 physical servers and 25 production virtual machines; across dozens of physical locations.My role plays an integral part in each department of the County. Developing custom database queries has allowed the Finance department to greatly extend the value of their ERP solutions, while the implementation of in-vehicle technology has improved emergency responsiveness in fire trucks and reporting accuracy in spray trucks. Where business processes previously required a great deal of manual work, custom programming has resolved these issues.The County of Stettler manages the Shirley McClellan Regional Water Services commission, making my role responsible for maintaining mission critical servers and network communications to monitor and deliver drinking water across over a dozen communities.IT also performs a key role in the administration of Alberta’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy act by automating the searching, retrieval, formatting, and compilation of all digital documents requested through the legislation.
