Fabricating and installing complex parts with detailed engineering drawings. Working in a fabrication shop to produce aircraft parts with tight tolerances with a CNC machine, laser cutter, hydraulic press break, and other common fabrication machines as well as by hand with engineering drawings. Working in the aircraft hanger to fabricate, and install secondary structural modifications such as antenna mounts and additional rigidity for radomes to primary pre-existing structures. Majority of work included: Removing and replacing Avionics with new systems in private aircraft , Assisting in inspections of private aircraft structural components, Doing repairs on both sheet metal and composite structures, assisting in minor engine repairs, and other Airframe & Powerplant Technician type tasks. Worked on production line to produce the G550 line of aircraft. Worked with complex sheet metal parts to assemble and repair aircraft sections. Primary role was to install primary structure such as frames, stringers, and longerons, to thirty foot sections of bare skin. Installation included locating primary structure to bare skins with complex tooling, and installing the structure to the bare skin primarily with, but not limited to, solid rivets and sealant.
