  I teach Science to a population of students that include low, middle, and high income students, english language learners of various ethnic backgrounds, and students with learning disabilities. I use assessment data to design instruction and intervention plans to ensure all students learn. I develop project based learning opportunities for my students to apply their skills. I help students solve social problems between themselves and their peers in appropriate ways, and model respectful discourse, responsible action, and trust with all individuals at my school. I apply bandaids to scrapes and try to cheer up kids when they are feeling sad or down. I provide a safe place for students that don't have one when they are not at school. For any child that has ever been told by someone they "can't" or "won't" or "never will", I give them the knowledge and tools to prove that person wrong. Show less
