Guest Services
-
May 2012 - Present
I am currently working in guest services helping guest explore Sonoma County. I work at the front desk answering phone calls, checking in guest, suggesting activities and putting together itineraries of local events. I also work as the night auditor, working on excel sheets and balancing sales from our event center, hotel, restaurant, and offsite events. Checking multiple pages of data and ensuring we stay under budget and our monthly sales mark is meet or exceeded. The past year of 2013 we have broken monthly sales and have talked about future development by adding two new buildings and areas for guest to enjoy the beauty of Sonoma County.

Assistant Technician
-
Jan 2006 - Jan 2012
Working as a technician assistant learning the trade of a refrigeration specialist. Learning the different tools and gasses that are used to fix almost any kitchen hardware from deep fryers to walk in freezers. For years I worked in many restaurants from Santa Rosa to San Jose, Ca. Learning to work around kitchen staff and often figuring out how to help costumers pass inspections and ensure their restaurant can continue serving people. In one instance I helped install a refrigeration bay for food trucks in 4 weeks, in time for the inspector to check and pass before they can rent out their lots. It was a difficult situation since it was a large installation with only two employees working with the city and customer to ensure building was in regulation. In the end our customer was able to open up two weeks earlier and rent out the spaces after their inspection passed.

Sales Consultant
-
Aug 2009 - Dec 2011
I worked the sales floor helping customers and paying attention to what sold and what did not, ordering new inventory and moving inventory as fast as possible. At that time we had two other stores under the same owner, leaving a small group of 3 employees to run the stores together. We would get customers in with bundle deals and other special events put together by staff. For example we had a "Skate with Mates" event, if you came in with another person the complete skateboard set for two would come with a 10 percent discount and a complementary dvd. To motivate sales we would offer fellow employees opportunities to get free merchandise by selling high ticket items or coming up with new bundles that would bring in more customers. Our store also sponsored local skateboarders to use store brand items, collaborate with sponsors to create skate videos, and paying them in merchandise or checks for representing our stores.
