I've been working as researcher at MUSP lab since march 2017, in close collaboration with the Information and Electronics department of Politecnico di Milano. The main research activities focus on the modelling and simulation of mechatronic systems with object oriented modelling tools like Modelica and the Dymola software. In particular I've been focusing on the modelling of flexible multibody systems and the development of simulation techniques for DAE systems. Moreover, I've been working on the development of advanced control systems for mechatronics devices like robust and optimal control, MIMO control and MPC.

Ph.D. student at Information, Electronics and Bioengineering department of Politecnico di Milano. Research topic: Modelling and control of flexible manipulators. The main subject of the thesis is the development of a closed-form model of three-dimensional flexible manipulator with links of general shape and the synthesis of a two-timescale control system able to improve the performances of the manipulator and substantially increase damping with respect to the classical P/PI control structure. The resulting performance are achieved by means of a controller acting on the robot joints in a “fast” timescale, coupled with a traditional system acting on the “slow” timescale.

I've held the exercise classes for the courses of "Automatic controls" in 2015 and "Simulation techiniques and tools" in the period 2012-2015 at politecnico di Milano. During the course of "Automatic controls" I've been teaching the foundamentals of automatic controls, and some basic simulation experiments with MatlabDuring the course of "Simulation techiniques and tools" I held several lessons on the matlab/Simulink environment and the Modelica language, with particular attention to the Dymola environment and the Modelica Multibody library.
