To Whom It May Concern, I would like to recommend Mr. Bruno Schloffel for a position in your company. I have known Mr. Schloffel for over 14 years in a professional capacity. I had the pleasure of providing architectural and engineering design services while he was Director of Store Design for Sports Authority, a retail sporting goods company. I found him to be very skilled in his position directing the design and construction of numerous retail projects across the country. Bruno is consistently looking for opportunities to improve the design, cost effectiveness and construction of his buildings. While working with Bruno he created new store designs that were customer focused and very appealing. He implemented a cost effective energy use reduction program that included early adoption of LED lighting use in a retail environment. He has forward-thinking ideas but is also willing to listen and act on guidance from others around him. I have seen him get the best out of people through positive motivation and strong leadership. Bruno is very pleasant to work with but knows what he wants and has high expectations on delivery. It was obvious his staff at Sports Authority respected him and enjoyed having him as their director. The energy of his staff was very positive and people worked well together to accomplish getting stores open and in good shape. Since Bruno’s move to Office Depot we have kept in contact.
