      Bookiply - part of the Holidu group - helps vacation rental owners to multiply their bookings with less work through automated distribution to all major travel websites, multilingual descriptions and professional photos, as well as friendly customer service on seven days per week.As Area Manager to the Algarve market, my main goal was to develop the market from scratch and build a team of sales and account managers to drive the local growth of the company. My main responsibilities from day 0 were:- Work close to the VP of Sales & Account Management and to the Head of Iberia to create and implement our Go-to-Market strategy- Get familiar to the local regulations and characteristics of the Portuguese Vacation Rental market- Be the go-to person for local requirements from other departments within the company, in order to maintain the operation running (Market, Sales Ops, Finance, Legal, Product, People Ops, Facilities)- Work together with the HR to hire top-performers by conducting interviews, panels, participating in job fairs and by constantly optimising our hiring process- Collaborate with other leaderships on projects of company-wide scope.- Monitor and keep consistent KPIs- Sell (hunting) and onboarding of new customers- And the most important: being close to my team by joining their meetings with clients, doing 1x1s, feedbacks (quarterlies and annual reviews), creating joint development plans and finding improvement points so they could develop themselves professionally.Main achievements:- 500% increase of our local portfolio in the first year. 270% in the second.- 68% of revenue growth in the first year. 1060% in the second (despite of the impact of COVID in the Vacation Rental market)- Successfully participation of the PT team on a cross-team M&A project by achieving our target of properties incorporated to our portfolio (numbers are classified)- Successfully hired and onboarded 7 FTEs
