Bruce is tenacious and customer-driven. Give him a difficult problem that matters to end users, and he will wrestle the problem into submission. I have watched him draw on decades of experience to debug very subtle race conditions, performance snafus, and bizarre compiler misbehaviors--all while maintaining a cheerful, can-do attitude. Bruce also has a deep knowledge of the search space and of performance issues, which have been invaluable at Perfect Search.
