Planning included sustainable features for tropical design with minimal reliance upon mechanical ventilation. An efficient layout was provided for staff operations whilst maintaining narrow building footprints for natural ventilation and wide eaves and planting for maximising shade and outlook to cool landscaped courtyards. Cost: Approx. $12.5M building cost Tasks: Tasks included design development and documentation of building form and detailed planning including fast track co-ordination of structural and construction detailing. Liaising with construction manager and other consultants. Balanced form to fit function under tight budget conditions. Program: Drawing tasks achieved in conjunction with 1 CAD technician (excluding interiors input) with fast track documentation deadlines achieved using Revit software. Cost: Estimated building cost $30m plus Complex brief for High security project including Chancery and ancillairy facilities. Tasks: Tasks included Revit based detailed design and full documentation for tender purposes to meet Australian codes with local material and construction method preferences. Specific tasks included documentation and detailing of key areas of project in alignment with overall design themes and concepts.
