  Hired by Corporate Board to assist in the transition of leaving the Tennessee Valley organization to become a chartered organization of their own through Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Directed staff in the organization of equipment and room arrangement in each area of this 43,000 square foot facility. Reorganized staff to areas where they are more productive and capable. Directed staff in development of lesson plans around themes with goal of submitting these 2 weeks in advance. This was accomplished. Applied for and received license to operate as a licensed after school center. Worked as part of a team to acquire necessary permits and certificates to operate as a non-profit organization. Applied and received approval to participate in Tennessee Families First Childcare Certificate program. Established working relationships with supply vendors for participation in USDA At-Risk After School Snack Program. Acquired contract from TDHS Child and Adult Care Food Program to provide after school snack program. Established relationship with 2nd Harvest Food Bank to set-up Kids Café' meal program in which teens are taught meal planning and preparation, table settings, cleaning schedules and serving of food to other children enrolled at club. Worked in coloration with both school systems to plan and implement after school enrichment activity and tutoring by using certified teachers. Submitted proposal and received grant from Plateau Electric Cooperative to upgrade "Life Skills" classroom, providing increased learning environment.
