  Serve as Executive Director to the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators (athletic directors) Association. This association includes all public and private secondary schools in Ohio while connecting to the principals, superintendents, board members and school financial officers/treasurers in over 1,500 high schools and middle schools of our state. The primary focus of the organization is the professional development and training of our member athletic administrators as well as providing best practices and resources for our school communities. Most recently (2015-2016 school year), Ohio and NIAAA memberships stand at 530 . The annual OIAAA State Conference in Columbus attracts over 450 attendees, vendors and presenters.

  I was blessed to serve 19 years as a Blue Streak having arrived at Lake High School in 1995 as the OWE (now CBIP) instructor and Head Boys Basketball Coach. In the fall of 1998, I took on the additional responsibilities of Athletic Director in addition to my teaching and coaching duties. Starting with the 1999-2000 school year, I was solely Athletic Director for the Lake Local School District. Oversaw an athletic department of 22 varsity sports and 65 MS/HS teams. Coaching staff was made up of 116 paid and volunteer Ohio certified interscholastic coaches. Annual athletic budget was $230,000 which was 100% generated from gate receipts and Lake Athletic Booster Club support. Lake Local and Lake High School have been very active in on-going professional development and training of our interscholastic athletic coaches. We were the first school district in Ohio that developed a specific requirement for all coaches to complete the NFHS "Fundamentals of Coaching" course. That course is now required of all Ohio interscholastic coaches. We continued to promote professional development among our coaches and staff members as we focused upon being the best organization for learning. At the end of the 2014 school year, 19 of our coaching staff members had earned the National "AIC" (Accredited Interscholastic Coach") designation from the National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) with one reaching the "CIC" (Certified Interscholastic Coach) level.. On the state and national levels, we are involved with OIAAA and NIAAA activities which provided enhanced value to the development of our respective coaches and athletic programs in Lake Local Schools.
