Brooke Roche is the epitome of an academic advisor. Her dedication and unending support of her students is an inspiration to all in our department. During her interviews, she impressed us with her sincere statements regarding her work and that is all about the students and helping them meet their academic goals. All her references commented on her dedication and quick development of rapport with her students. Once hired by us, she did not disappoint. Students regularly request her by name and speak only in the most positive ways about their meeting with her and the support she provides them.

I had the pleasure of working with Brooke as her direct manager over the past few months, and I also knew her as an outstanding advisor even before we began working together. Brooke is an exemplary individual contributor who is also able to lead by example thanks to her engaging and personable attitude. To put it briefly, people respond to Brooke. This includes her students - she is especially adept at working with students with gruff personalities who may fail to respond to others - as well as her colleagues. Brooke has a deep and highly-developed knowledge base when it comes to university policy and advising techniques, but her greatest strength is her ability to build trust among her students.
