I've worked with Bronwyn Reid for around two years now, through the development of her second book, the updating of book number one, and then helping her to refine her position as an expert in her field - the Relationship Translator between big and small businesses. I've worked with a lot of experts in this way, and to say Bronwyn is one of my favourite clients ever is because she is so incredibly knowledgeable, a great thinker, and amazing at articulating her genius ideas to help others. Bronwyn really gets what good business is all about. She is also incredibly kind and generous towards those she helps in their businesses. A brilliant mentor to others, and a delight to be connected with.

Small business and education is Bron's 'Happy Spot'. As a long-term small business operator Bron brings a depth of experience to all aspects of her interest areas. A rural grounding with global exposure allows for a broad sense of perspective. With this background Bron is well positioned to advocate for small business in rural communities.

Bronwyn is the voice of small business and how they are able to work with large corporates and conglomerates in their industry. Her thought leadership and wisdom are invaluable to all the small businesses who are fortunate to work with Bronwyn and her team. She is a passionate, knowledgeable speaker who will have your audience engaged from the minute she walks on stage. I highly recommend Bronwyn, she’ll get your audience thinking and will give them the tools to become successful in how they operate with large organisations.

For over 20 years in business, I have seen time and time again that the spark for rapid growth in a small business is landing that first contract with a big company, or Government Department. After years of struggle, getting that first job with a big name gives the credibility to bid on the next, larger piece of work. But getting that first contract can be difficult, and it requires some real changes in your business and your mindset.Small Company, Big Business grew out of my years of experience at 4T Consultants, and the journey we took to get our company ready to do business with international agribusiness & resources companies, all levels of Government and industry. As a winner of business and leadership awards, we were continually asked by other business owners for help. Every business owner supplying to big companies can tell endless stories of cost over-runs, delays and frustration. Small Company, Big Business is the book I needed all those years ago, but didn't have. My journey of getting my company prepared to work with industry giants was one of research, mistakes (some costly) and experimentation. The book and accompanying program help other business owners to adjust the way they operate and get that extra edge they need to become successful, profitable and reliable suppliers to large organisations.

After years of struggle, getting that first job with a big name gives the credibility to bid on the next, larger piece of work. But getting that first contract can be difficult, and it requires some real changes in your business and your mindset.Mining for Business grew out of our years of experience at 4T Consultants, and the journey we took to get our company ready to do business with international agribusiness and resources companies. Over almost 20 years, we have experienced all the ups and downs of doing business in a regional area - away from the major cities, where commodity price cycles rule the world. With the resources boon now officially over, thousands of Australian businesses are wondering "What's next"? Their company's goods and services are geared solely towards the resources sector, where there is now little or no market to sell to. They are faced with a new business landscape, and many do not have the tools to deal with the change and make the required changes in their business. The normal toolkit of a regular business coach just isn't enough when an industry has been so violently disrupted. As a winner of business and leadership awards, we were continually asked by other business owners for help. Every business owner supplying to big companies can tell endless stories of cost over-runs, delays and frustration. Mining for Business was been established to help other business owners to re-adjust, and get that extra edge they need to become successful, profitable and reliable suppliers to large organisations.

Ian Rankine and I started 4T Consultants when we returned to Australia after many years living and working in developing countries, to allow our continuing commitment to providing consultancy services overseas. The 4T’s in the company name denote our belief in:Technology Transfer Through Training. That philosophy led back to Ian's roots in agricultural science, and a goal to put adequate information into the hands of those in charge of environmental hazard situations. 4T undertook a major project in partnership with the State and Federal governments – the Integrated Area Wide Management Project. The project aim was to ensure that quality environmental data is available to all stakeholders in a river catchment area. Extensive work with agricultural clients resulted in 4T being requested to monitor landholder environmental issues where they could be impacted by the expanding coal mining industry. That work, in turn, led to further contracts with mining companies themselves. 4T has subsequently widened its operations to encompass the petroleum, oil and gas industries, and its portfolio to a complete suite of environmental monitoring and management services. 4T now employs a small staff, operates throughout the Bowen and Galilee Basins of Queensland, and remains committed to the provision of accurate scientific data and innovative solutions to natural resource management. Throughout the development of 4T, I have developed comprehensive business systems, which 4T now uses to assist other small businesses in progressing through their growth curve.

The Advisory Committee members are tasked with assessing and recommending projects that will be sponsored by the Community Foundation from the applications received. Applications can extend from small, one-off projects, to long-term partnerships and sponsorships. Committee members are required to draw upon their expertise and experience in order to assess sponsorship and partnership opportunites. All grants, sponsorships and partnership possibilites are assessed against the framework of the Community Foundation's objectives and priority areas of supporting and enhancing regional economic and community development. I am one of a working party from within this Committee who has joined with other regional stakeholders to create and implement an area-wide strategic business development plan - Bowen Basin Business Development Strategy..
