  As an investigative assistant on the NoroCORE food virology project I assist with field data collection from locations within the state of South Carolina. These samples are subsequently tested for the human norovirus. The NoroCORE project is funded by the USDA ($25 million dollar grant) and is a collaborative investigation among several institutions to help prevent the human norovirus and create effective control measures.
