I worked collaboratively with the IIT community to design projects that made sustainability relevant and exciting on an individual level while consistently advancing a long-term vision of sustainability. I analyzed current operations and barriers to develop a strategic road map to guide project implementation. A pilot energy conservation campaign I designed saves 14,300 KWh and $1,350 annually. I co-built green event guidelines and organized the first major zero-waste event. I led a group of volunteers to execute a campus-wide electronics waste recycling event that collected 21,000 pounds in 2 events. My organization of our monthly Sustainability Forums increased attendance roughly 40% and the event became our preeminent outreach tool and a calling card. Show less
