  Guard hundreds of members daily by enforcing rules, watching the pool area with intense focus, and staying diligent on the stand. • Maintain a clean and healthy working environment by keeping the pool deck dry, organizing all used pool supplies, routinely measuring chlorine every hour and fifteen minutes, and cleaning the pool at closing. • Care for all injuries and incidents accordingly by providing necessary first aid treatment and proper documentation. • Perform proper protocol needed in a rescue situation to save one struggling victim by communicating with the victim and other lifeguards alike to perform a proper rescue. • Instruct dozens of students from ages 4 to 12 basics of swimming as well as more advanced swimming techniques. • Lead dozens of new employees through the first-day shift by showing employees around and instructing newcomers what to expect on lifeguarding. • Communicate with swimmers and lifeguards alike to solve problems and answer questions as well as work with dozens of lifeguards to establish an efficient system based on teamwork. • Apply initiative to perform tasks other guards wouldn't do such as cleaning pool gutters and a dozen other filthy tasks.
