Sponsored by Southern Illinois University, an externship is a week long internship offered to students during spring break. I was paired with Knoll & CI Select where I shadowed numerous people within CI Select and Knoll where I was able to gain insight on the dealership side of the Interior Design world. I sat in on numerous client meetings, and went with the Knoll Sales Representative on lunch and learns. I was given the opportunity to talk one on one with the adiovisual team, designers, the flooring designer, and the sales representatives to get an understanding of they all do.
