      Community Coordinator for the St. Tammany Parish chapter of the Louisiana Prisoner ReEntry Program. This program aims to reduce recidivism within Louisiana by following an evidence-based approach which includes community collaboration with the office of the Louisiana Department of Corrections. The Program Coordinator is to act as a liaison between the DOC offices, elected parish officials and the residents of the community. The Program Coordinator works closely with the case workers of the individuals being released from prison to ensure that a transition plan is in place that will help the individual reenter the community successfully while also maintaining contact with the individual to better reduce the likelihood of recidivism.
