In response to the recent discovery of oil in the Turkana region of Kenya, WRI seeks to create a best practices report for prospective oil operations. It is my task to determine the current constitutional, environmental, petroleum, and freedom of information laws of Kenya, analyze how they interact, and determine how they will lead to environmental and social stability or alternatively, what is needed to achieve stability as the country begins to develop its resources.
