Long term acute care of 5 pediatric patients from birth to age 18. My patients have artificial airways, gastric feeding tubes, traumatic brain injuries, genetic disorders and other multi-system complications. On a daily basis I deliver critical airway management and on-going assessment of all systems. Additionally I am a primary nurse for one of our patients. I coordinate clinic visits, care conferences and communication between the facility, parents and providers. I have experience in filling staffing needs, providing problem-solving and guidance during off hours for facility or patient issues. I also have experience in patient and parent teaching. As well as teaching when we have nursing students visit for clinical. Additionally I perform routine monitoring of equipment including ventilators, oximeters, humidifiers, nebulizers, cardiac monitors, and feeding pumps. Show less

Additionally I assisted with refining and formulating health policies and procedures and other miscellaneous documents. Communicated with the children's parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. I provided care for children ages 3 months through 7 years.
