My main duties and tasks are composed around maintaining and troubleshooting the Collections Database System (EmbARK). As part of this maintenance, I work on the Acquisition Records data entry backlog, I edit and maintain standardized text and style of data in EmbARK, and I train the staff on how to use EmbARK as a tool to aid them with their job duties. I also manage Student Assistants in the Registrar’s Office; which includes training, providing Project Proposals and assessing completion of tasks. Additionally, I manage the Museum’s online collections platform Marble in collaboration with the Hesburgh Libraries. As the team lead for Marble I coordinate any updates with the Hesburgh Libraries team, I coordinate with our curatorial staff to ensure the records are accurate, and I WebEnable the records in our museum database to be harvested by Marble. During the very exciting transition to the new Raclin Murphy Museum of Art, I have become the team lead for all Labels going into the new building. This has involved coordinating with curatorial staff and contractors, make and tracking edits, as well as light object research. Additionally, I handle Rights and Reproduction Requests, organize Research Visits for scholars, inventory storage spaces, and work on Pest Management procedures. I am also an active member of the Staff Engagement Committee; which helps to facilitate and organize staff events to great a better and closer team. Show less

I work as part of an ABR contract project, working with the nautical collection of the Naval History and Heritage Command. This work includes inventorying, cataloging, photographing and packing artifacts. I became the Database Lead in September 2019, which expanded my tasks to include the consolidation and proof-reading of the teams daily databases for review and submission to NHHC, as well as creating and updating Accession Lot Records in the Access database. I have trained co-workers on pallet strapping techniques and the use of strapping tools. I have also collaborated with co-workers to address and resolve the backlog issue of Resolved Problems. My general duties expanded in June 2019 to include managing the organization and flow of the macro-artifacts throughout the ABR process, and managing/organizing the even distribution of micro and macro- artifacts to be cataloged amongst the team for the contract.
