Hatsun’s major concern is in the logistics where it costs around 7% of the company’s revenue. This project focuses on the study about the entire logistics process which is involved at the Palacode plant. If the problem is identified, the reason for occurrence has to be found out and suitable solutions has to be given. And if possible the solutions have to tested out in real time whether it is applicable are not. The problem which was found in the logistics at Hatsun is truck loading. Loading was not done effectively. Every time when the orders from the Distributors comes the loading will happen, at that time empty spaces are found at the truck.Truck Optimisation is the major area where the company needs to improve. So this project will cover the entire study process of the logistics and then solutions have to be identified in order to the solve the truck optimisation issue. The capacity of the storage in the warehouse and the maximum number of trucks that can be dispatched per day has to be noted. The necessity of truck optimisation has to be checked whether it is required or not. After that the product details and the orientation procedure for loading has to be studied. Then based upon the study the truck loading has to be checked whether they are loading based on the procedure or not. If they are loading the products correctly based on the orientation and the weight, then the areas where they need to improve has to be suggested or the if the loading procedure is wrong the mistakes has to rectifyCONCLUSION:This project totally focuses on reducing the cost involved in the logistics which the company is currently working on. So the project starts with the study about the logistics at Hatsun and after that problems should be identified and solutions should be given for the identified problems.
