As the international student advisor, I had a variety of responsibilities. 1. Designated School Official. I used SEVIS daily and was SEVP-trained.2. General Orientation. I was given the opportunity to welcome new students each month and to provide them with a general orientation, campus tour, and assistance with the paperwork necessary for them to study at ELS. 3. Event Planner. Every month, I created a calendar of events for our students. My goal was to provide them with opportunities to have an incredible in-school and out-of-school experience in the United States. We went to professional baseball game, kayaking, Cedar Point, and so much more!4. Budget Management. I was given a company card to purchase supplies for the center and for events. I submitted financial reports each month. 5. Housing. I was able to communicate with our apartment managers for our students and the ELS Housing Manager to purchase supplies, rent furniture, and set up apartments for our students. I was the contact for any housing issues or housing questions. 6. Everyday Contact. I was the every day contact for students who had questions about Cleveland, living in the US, safety, or any other issues. 7. Social Media. I ran the Instagram for ELS Cleveland for marketing to other possible partners and for the students. 8. Data Input. I kept the necessary information for each students on the different platforms that we used such as CORP and SEVIS.
