As a community liaison for the Macon-Bibb County Early Empowerment Zone, I proactively communicate with community organizations, businesses, families and other stakeholders about resources and benefits that are available. My work also involves recruiting potential partners for our Early Learning Network, providing training and resources to partnering agencies and clients, assisting and providing guidance to volunteers; as well as, internal and external clients. I am responsible for collecting data and facilitating efforts to address the health, safety, care and education needs of young learners; most specifically children Birth through 8 years of age. While supporting service alignment and coordination efforts, I incorporate components of Professional Learning Communities, Community-Based Participatory Training, Implementation Science and WIDA Early Years and Dual-Language strategies.I will increase public awareness, increase opportunities to partner, and support the work of other's by attending social and civic club meetings, school board meetings, Expo's, Family Engagement activities, neighborhood planning, Faith-based and Chamber of Commerce activities. Social media presence will be developed and monitored to bring awareness to community events and learning opportunities. I will continue to support all early learning programs, encouraging their on-going participation and individual growth in Georgia's Quality Rating and Improvement System, "Quality Rated". Achieving 100% Quality Rated participation in Macon-Bibb County is one of my top priorities. I will strategically plan with community and agency partners of Macon-Bibb County and others, to increase high quality educational and workforce development opportunities for all families. Show less
