    • Head of graduate programmes: Group enabling function
      • Mar 2012 - Nov 2014

PROGRAMME OVERVIEW Group Enabling Functions (GEF) is a division within Standard Bank that supports the Corporate and Investment Bank and the Personal and Business bank. I looked after 8 graduate programmes within this space: Risk, Quants, Group Financial Crime Control, Compliance, IT, Operations, Procurement and CA(SA). MY ROLE OVERVIEW My role entailed providing a comprehensive graduate recruiting service to all GEF business units within Standard Bank in SA and into Africa. I was also accountable for developing and maintaining relationships with university careers offices and faculties and coordinating recruiting activities. Our need was to recruit qualified university graduates to fill entry-level and intern positions as well as for maintaining the Standard Bank's brand and image on the university campus. Once the graduates were recruited I managed them whilst on their graduate programme. I worked closely with the business to develop their programmes, which included rotations across the areas as well as regular feedback sessions and collecting a portfolio of evidence from the graduates on completion of their rotations.
