Integrated Verge Health events application to allow for SSO login from EPIC and CERNER health systems. ● Developed SQL procedures to generate cube data for Sisense reporting system. Generic cube generation process pivoted vertical data store into MOLAP dataset using Cartesian product logic. Process calculated 21 full cubes (30 million records total) in 20 minutes and deltas for those same cubes in under 5 minutes. ● Redesigned permission builder system that took 36 hours to calculate 9 billion user permissions with updated routine that took approximately 25 minutes. Further enhanced the process to allow for delta generation in under 5 minutes to prevent overtaxing the system during normal business hours. ● Designed and developed solution to change vertical data store of unknown data into Entity-Attribute-Value data structure to enable intelligent use of questions and answers for surveys. Lead Architect of Scrum team that designed and developed data warehouse, combining EMR and claim data from any number of sources to provide a complete view of a patient; responsibilities included application design and development, generating functional and technical design documents, interfacing with clients and 3rd party companies, and performing code reviews. Principal Best Doctor’s architect responsible for reducing duplication across applications and integrating new applications/products. ● Designed general import ETL architecture, using Pentaho, to consistently import data from various formats, including flat file, XML, HL7, X12, and Excel. ETL imports are capable of processing 40 million claim lines 2 hours and 3.5 million patient records in 1.5 hours. ● Developed generic claims database structure and associated ETL load process, to store professional, institutional, and pharmaceutical data that handled revisions, regardless of whether an original claim ID was provided. In order to minimize file reloads, the structure was such that a claim record could be created without the associated patient; when the patient was subsequently created, it would be immediately linked to the existing claims. Database for the largest client has over 600 million claim lines. ● Enabled medical cost analytics by implementing HEDIS and PQRS measures, including yearly updates. ● Initiated code review effort that reduced bugs by over 80%. ● Architected a separate shared database to store configuration data and standard code sets (ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, etc.). Utilized two copies of this database and synonym switching to ensure 100% up-time using SQL 2008R2 log shipping. ● Developed SAML 2.0 SSO Service Provider, using ASP.Net and C#, to allow clients to control access to patient reporting. ● Developed custom .Net base object library, using C# that allows for partial object updates, robust error handling via validation attributes, and transactions.
