I currently work at the front desk checking in patients for their radiology and surgical appointments. I have also been trained in portions of radiology scheduling and simple financial counseling. I solve problems throughout each day and make sure that our patients are my first priority the whole time. I direct calls throughout the hospital, collect payments, and make sure paperwork is in order for the patient's appointment. I worked with both patients and medical professionals to ensure effective, organized and seamless care. I maintain patients’ accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating their records. I also procure revenue by recording and updating financial information, recording and collecting patient charges, controlling credit extended to patients, as well as filing, collecting, and expediting third-party claims. My position at James Ranch consisted of working with a team who managed upwards of 40 dairy cows. We were expected to follow strict protocol while working with heavy equipment. I assisted with basic medical procedures and tests as needed. I spoke with the public and educated them on the process and procedures of a small scale dairy business. I worked with over 120 species of wild animals doing extensive rehabilitation husbandry tasks such as: received animals in all age classes, performed intake exams, maintained housing, did bottle or hand feeding, prepare, offer food items, and gave medications as needed for a variety of patients. I tracked the animals healing process and worked with the public and public agencies to release the animals back to their natural habitat when they were ready.
