In my current position I advocate for my clients through the entire case management process, to includeinformation intake, gather documents, assist with completing forms, submission to the Federal VA and anyfollow up. I ensure my clients have the right documentation required for their claims, which includes requestingrecords from medical, military and bystanders. I interpret applicable legislation, regulations, medical records andavailable benefits to ensure my clients receive the maximum benefit and assistance. I am proficient withoperating within multiple programs to track, submit, and research claims. I simultaneously manage the frontdesk and walk-in clients. While managing the front desk my tasks include multi-line phone system, high volumeof mail, client intake, record requests, fax documents, send notices to departments, in-process checks, greetclients, schedule meetings, update and track departments calendars, supplies inventory, and complete benefitsverification letters. I manage a benefits email inbox which includes email responses, input data into a workbook,using the mail merge option in Microsoft Excel in order to send out mass communication and run reports on thedata. I have obtained a valid federal Personal Identity Verification (PIV) card, including completing Training,Responsibility, Involvement and Preparation (TRIP) of claims training, fingerprinting, and background checks. Iparticipate in community outreach to include set up, answer questions, give presentations and follow up withinquiries. I am on the combined fund drive committee which includes planning events, procurement of items forevents, attend meetings, send out informational pamphlets, follow state regulations for fundraising, and operatewithin an assigned budget.
