Brian distinguished himself through extraordinary service while deployed as a Senior Subject Matter expert / Advisor to the Afghan National Army GSG2 in support of Operations Enduring Freedom. He is one of the most competent, dedicated and meticulous Advisor with whom I have ever served with. He always exceeded NATO Training Missions expectations and performed like a seasoned Advisor with vast experience. Brian’s most significant contributions are highlighted by his superb ability to communicate, organize, and execute the NATO Training Mission Combined Joint 2 (Intelligence) operational requirements which significantly improved the CJ2’s ability to steward the transition of responsibility of the systems developed with our Afghan partners by enabling the will to generate and sustain a professional, accountable Afghan National Security Force that will endure over time.

Responsible for supporting NGA’s Source Directorate’s CADRG Team with process improvement, workflow enhancement and automation via customized tool/script creation to be incorporated as part of the greater modernization initiative. Operated with minimal supervision and implemented unique and creatives solutions to resolve years-long issues/discrepancies in data integrity or tedious, manual processes wherein automation could be implemented. • Within less than a year, have created and implemented 7 customized tools to automate/semi-automate data querying and identification requirements for expurgation. • Implemented a custom ArcTool that enables comparison and deconfliction of multiple CADRG libraries in order to assist with data validation and integrity, through which the average process has been shortened from nearly 35-45 minutes of manual querying, joining, formatting, and exportation, to roughly 3 minutes, an efficiency improvement of nearly 92.5%. • Researched and wrote a custom model to correlate monthly ADRG data pushes to current CADRG holdings in order to identify producing countries and releasability of said data. This tool has been implemented into a monthly QA/QC for ADRG data receipt and has reduced the number of unknown producers (per monthly delivery) from an average of 93,000 to less than 10,000, a decrease of nearly 89% unknown producing countries. • Researched, tested, and wrote proposal recommendations for the implementation of multiple commercial software that would improve efficacy across the Source Directorate’s primary production initiatives. • Researched and implemented a combination of ArcTools and Visual Basic Macros (within Excel) to semi-automate and assist the Source Directorate’s initiative to bring the CADRG team’s nearly 10.2 million data files into compliance with the new NMF standard. Responsible for deploying to austere environments as the sole GEOINT Analyst providing analytical support to tactical military operations. Operated on a self-sufficient level to integrate a concept of geospatial awareness throughout multiple Combined Joint Operational Areas (CJOAs) supported in order to enable the Ground Forces Commander (GFC) to make timely, coordinated, and planned decisions for force allocation and movement through a questionable and hostile environment. • Incorporated multiple semi-/fully automated workflows and tools enabling for the ingestion and creation of analytic tables for daily Battle Update Briefs (BUBs) and weekly situational report (SITREP) metrics. • Utilized Activity-Based Intelligence (ABI) and predictive analytic techniques to produce detailed spatio-temporal intelligence reports identifying key enemy personnel and/or enemy actor’s movement/disposition as well as their impact on the supported region of the CJOA. • Identified the lines of communications utilized to smuggle nearly 70% of the manpower, weapons, and equipment (MWE) into Afghanistan; as well as made recommendations to the Command Group of where the friendly forces could emplace border checkpoints to deny or disrupt this movement resulting in the denial of over 40 tons of Human Made Explosives (HME) from crossing the border and being used against friendly and partnered forces. • Coordinated for the deployment of multiple emerging technologies to support Special Operations Command (SOCOM) ground forces across East Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. These technologies better enabled the disjointed outstations to maintain a common intelligence/operational picture (CIP/COP) and share vital, near real-time imagery and data. Show less
