As a Designated Coordinator, I oversee the program management for homes supporting individuals with disabilities. In this role, I assure each individual is provided with guidance, encouragement, support, comfort, security, and safety through relationship building. I advocate that each individual’s health and wellness needs are met and that they are accomplishing their outcomes, hopes, and dreams by promoting independence in performing essential life skills. I monitor and assure the administration of medication and medical treatments as prescribed by physicians. I monitor and maintain each individual’s plan and financial records per regulation and program policies and procedures.Additional Responsibilities:Supervise, support, train and evaluate direct support professionals teaching them to be the advocates they need to be to support each individual they work with.Be responsible for accounts payable, payroll records, petty cash/individual accounts, and budget monitoring.Develop and maintain positive working relationships with counties, families, stakeholders and community organization/groups.Maintain documentation, perform record keeping and participate in periodic meetings/training.Although the hours for this position are primarily Monday-Friday, the expectation is that I will be available as needed for emergencies and to meet the needs of the program.
