Brian Volpe was integral in developing and expanding the firm’s Construction Engineering practice. His expertise includes structural design and management, advanced project delivery, integrated modeling structural steel connection design and construction engineering. These skills have benefitted a range of building types including aviation, healthcare, industrial, high rise, sports, and long span. His portfolio includes the award-winning Great American Tower at Queen City Square Tiara, Cincinnati, Ohio, for which he provided connection design, geometric reconfiguration, Tekla modeling, and detailing services; Quantico Marine Corps, Greenside Hangar Complex, Quantico, Virginia, where connection design, integrated modeling and steel shop drawing production helped shave weeks off the project schedule; and expert witness consulting in erection engineering and construction for a multimillion-dollar delay claim on a 90,000-seat soccer stadium in the United Kingdom. Brian is a board member of the Structural Engineering Foundation; a member of the Joint SEI-CASE Committee on BIM; and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, American Institute of Steel Construction, Structural Engineers Association of Michigan, and Structural Engineers Association of Illinois. He is a licensed professional engineer in Michigan and a license structural engineer in Illinois. He holds bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering and architecture from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Mich.
