During my REU, I developed an anaerobic exercise video game, in C++, using Microsofts Kinect. The purpose of the game was to get the player to perform sit-ups. Using the Kinect's tracking capabilities, we were able to identify when players performed sit-ups. In addition, I also requested and recieved IRB approval to run a study to measure the game's effectiveness. Furthermore, I also attended a variety of team-building exercises. During my internship, I ensured new versions of CodeReadR, a two-dimensional barcode scanner for mobile phones, worked problem across different devices. I developed and executed many test cases to ensure the software functioned properly. Additionally, I developed a website to extensively and automatically test CodeReadR's web services were function properly. Furthermore, I also created a website to measure and display graphically the load capabilities of CodeReadR's web services.
