I have been honored to be elected as the President of the Traffic Club of Pittsburgh. I will have the privilege to serve as this organizations leader for the 2020-2021 term. I have been involved with this organization of Transportation professionals for the past 16 years. It is an honor to lead this group and continue to grow our presence and membership. I look forward to the days ahead, and am honored to have such great officers and a board who shares in the same common goals for the organizations future.

In my role at Pioneer, our team works to prepare potential acquisition plans and engage in conversations with potential partners. In addition, our team determines, suggests and gains internal approvals for potential business target acquisitions. In addition, our team organizes, manages and completes due diligence reports. Our team is also generally responsible for developing and implementing long-term business strategies for the company. Overall Performing, interpreting, and presenting strategic analysis to assist in developing business objectives and strategy.

Assistant Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing

Direct commercial operations for transloading terminals divisions handling liquid, dry bulk, break bulk, fertilizers, petroleum and numerous other products nationwide. Direct commercial operations for several larger shortline railroads within an assigned division. Developed, modeled, and contracted new capital expansion projects contributing to incremental earnings. Developed various strategies for internal and external growth. Developed strategic relationships locally and on a corporate level, assisting customer’s in supply chain solutions.

Direct operational responsibility for total combined revenue between all locations. Assist in growth and development of all team members. Collaborate with commercial team on new growth and incremental business. Collaborate with EH&S implementing new policies and best practices improving overall safety performance. Ensure customer expectations are being met and or exceeded. Provide due diligence for new acquisitions and purchases. Collaborate with customers, terminals and accounting to properly forecast all projections. Review each locations profitability and overall EBITDA ensuring they will meet plan. Develop capital spending, ensuring timely competition of improvement projects. Weekly divisional review with location managers, safety, accounting, business development and support services. Participation in several associations, organizations and industry forum groups

Managed Crude Transloading and Rail Switching Operations. Directly responsible for all day to day operations of terminal, railroad switching, transloading, logistics and billing. Responsible for all unit train inspections and mechanical repairs to railcars, meeting FRA requirements. Coordinate with Class 1 railroads, ensuring logistics and supply chain of unit crude oil trains are tracked and received. Directly manage all Trainmasters, T&E Employees, Mechanical Carman and Unloaders. Ensure safety & compliance for all employees, adherence to FRA Rules, Hazardous Materials & WATCO rules

General Manager of Transportation and Services

Direct operations responsibility for managers, hourly union and contractor employees. Direct responsibility for all daily railroad operations which includes multiple train crews per shift. Manage MOW department, maintaining all track with-in the facilities & leading to the facilities. Manage plant services & mobile equipment; this includes small equipment & heavy construction equipment. Served as the D.O.T. coordinator. Oversee, track and manage mobile equipment and crane training for all plant employees. Managed plant trucking, this includes close to 50 tri-axles hauling various materials from the plants, 30 trucks hauling to customers along with tracking various materials going to quarries and landfills. Ensure spending in line with business plan, quarterly forecasts and SR spending. Directly responsible for an annual operating budget of 24M

Manager General Services and Maintenance

Directly Manage plant railroad operations. Manage plant MOW gang maintaining and repairing facility tracks. Directly Manage facility general labor gang. Oversee all plant concrete and paving projects. Oversee all plant carpentry and masonry work. Track all department safety and training. Ensure all supplies were ordered and inventory kept on hand.

Division Manager of Railroad and Emergency Services

Managed various divisions directly responsible for rerailing of derailed railcars. Managed and performed load adjusts and transfers. Performed track maintenance work – Pre and Post Derailment, panel & switch installations. Traction Motor and wheel change out. Performed and managed construction, excavation & right-of-way clearing and grading projects. Respond to all spills, chemical emergencies and all other disasters. Directly Manage all Operators, Grounds man and Hazardous Materials Technician. Perform Field Transfers of Pressure and Chemical Vessel’s, clean & purge chemical tanks & railcars. Collaborate with commercial team on client and business development

Firefighter / Fire Captain

Served as a member of the on shift fire protection for a large amusment park. Duties included responding to all fire and ems related emergencies on park property, perform fire and safety building and ride inspections during park operations. Performed ride evacuations and high angle rescues from rollar coaster type rides. Was later prometed to shift Captain, responsible for all fire and recue related services during assigned shifts.
