I started out as a swing sales representative. That meant I covered two different sales representatives. That year I received Salesman of the Year. This was the first time in Frito-lay histoy that a swing sales representative had mangaed that honor. I went on the have my own routes in the Dallas area. I was proud to have a premiun route in the area where Frito-Lay executives lived and shopped on a regular basis. The stores were located in Highland Park and the Preaston Hollow areas. At this time I still managed to go the night school, but only taking one class a semester I made the decision to put all my effort in going back to college and finishing my degree. From the encourgement from Principals at the local area schools. They felt I had the leadership skills and passion to work with children in the classroom. Show less
