    • Estate Agent
      • Sep 1986 - Sep 1990

On leaving Clydesdale Bank, I joined Donald Storrie Estate Agents, based in my home town of Hamilton. After initial training I moved to the East End of Glasgow and then to Airdrie covering North Lanarkshire. This was my first venture into the property world and I gained invaluable experience in dealing with agency matters, negotiation of deals, networking and property/structural issues. The business was later bought over by Nationwide Anglia Building Society who were creating their own Estate Agency to be only bought back by Mr Storrie a few later. Show less

Left school to have a career in the bank and chose Clydesdale over others. After 4 years I decided that I required to change direction and moved to a local Estate Agency to develop my experience and knowledge in the property sector. My time at the bank was my first job after leaving school and opened my eyes to many things, particularly life! Left school to have a career in the bank and chose Clydesdale over others.
