      One of the largest providers of full flight simulator training in Europe. The Group was originally created in early 2007; GCAT Flight Academy (then owned by GE) was sold to a private equity organisation and acquired SAS's Flight Academy in Scandinavia. The group further expanded through acquisitions worldwide and achieved turnover in the region of £ 180m. In May 2012 the OAA group was sold to Canadian organisation CAE. Production of monthly Group Management accounts through Hyperion Enterprise, with commentaries and analysis for inclusion in board pack, including fx variance analysis of P&L & detailed variance reports of group departments. Implementation and production of Group KPIs. Monthly and Year-to-date operational statistics for the Type division simulators, with comparison to budget & prior year. Variances resolved to volume, price and exchange difference. Constructing spreadsheets to enable compilation of Type division Budgets, with the facility to display by department or location. Involved mapping historic old cost lines to new accounting structure. Provided trends in revenue & EBITDA with equalisation of fx rates, to truly assess like-for-like performance, year on year. Construction of a forecasting model to produce a 3 year forecast by operating division for the group. Has facility to amend exchange and inflation rates in order to produce a robust business model. Setting up and implementation of Group Management recharge process. Maintenance of group-wide capital expenditure by project and currency. Production of divisional & group aged debtor performance with translation to debtor days. This worked in conjunction with the group “watchlist”, which focussed on the customers causing most concern within the group. Production of quarterly bank covenant compliance schedules.
