As NHS Continuing Healthcare Adviser I lead on policy for the organisation in this crucial area of healthcare provision. In addition to working with individual members of the SIA who are being assessed for NHS Continuing Healthcare eligibility for having their ongoing eligibility reviewed I engage with policymakers to improve the future delivery of this essential source of health and social care provision for the most sick and disabled individuals in England and Wales. This involves dealing with:The Department Of Health and Social Care – Responsible for overall NHS Continuing Healthcare policy.NHS England – Responsible for monitoring the implementation of NHS Continuing Healthcare by Clinical Commissioning Groups.Clinical Commissioning Groups – Responsible for implementing NHS Continuing Healthcare policy. My work spans a wide remit, working with DHS C and the NHS on improving both the delivery of the current NHS Continuing Healthcare Policy Framework and exploring opportunities to improve the current Policy Framework.

Equatability Training Ltd is a consultancy that specialises in:Disability Equality TrainingIndependent Living Advice and TrainingAll of the work that we do is rooted in the Social Model of Disability. We believe passionately that all disabled people should have equality of opportunity and access to society in order to be able to maximise their choices and life outcomes. For far too long disability has been de facto treated as the 'poor relation' of the other Protected Characteristics defined in the Equality Act 2010 (e.g. race, gender, sexual orientation etc). We believe that only when disability is truly seen as being on a par with these other Protected Characteristics can true Disability Equality be achieved.
