60pages is an international collective of writers, artists, thinkers united in the drive to understand the times we live in. We explore new ways of writing and publishing, of collaborating and creating new and meaningful content around the fundamental questions of the present. The core is the idea of the longread, original non-fictional texts which are longer than a magazine piece and shorter than a book and published digitally via our website. 60pages is based in the digital world, but alive in the real world. In the end, 60pages is a digital salon of the 21th century. In 2015, we embarked on our first Writers Workshop in Cairo. The aim of the workshop was to gain a deeper understanding of the situation in post-revolutionary Egypt we invited more than 20 of the country's most interesting writers, journalists, activists and artists. As a result of the workshop we commissioned five writers to create Longreads excluvisely for 60pages. Show less
