POSITION SUMMARY Plan, execute, and audit specialized human subject research in collaboration with government personnel and external partners to accomplish USAARL's Injury Biomechanics mission. Perform scientific (proposal/protocol development, data collection/analysis, etc.) and administrative (maintain/audit project master files, communicate with IRB/RCO/FDA, report generation) tasks for multiple research projects investigating human performance, fatigue, endurance, and injury. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Prepare protocols, test plans, and project updates/reports. • Document, design, assemble, and demonstrate scientific methodology and equipment required for project readiness reviews. • Recruit/consent volunteers; coordinate proposals, protocols, and data collections with research team members; brief military personnel/leadership. • Coordinate and communicate project, personnel, and resource schedules to ensure goals are achieved in a timely manner against project and programmatic timelines. • Support and lead laboratory and offsite studies for extensive periods of time, to include training and operational site visits, study preparation, packing, data collection, and study execution. • Responsible for documenting and reporting project amendments and adverse events to IRB/RCO/FDA in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. • Responsible for documenting all laboratory procedures, research project data, and results in government-authorized notebooks and electronic systems in accordance with applicable regulations, procedures, and naming conventions.
